Important details
Walks start at various times and venues, please pay close
attention to the timetable on the front.
No special clothing required. Suitable shoes recommended.
Please meet 10-15 minutes prior to the start of a walk.
Each walk will last between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on
the grading (see below), with no scheduled stops.
If you have not exercised for some time, or feel that you have
a medical condition that may affect your ability, please consult
a GP, or alternatively, contact Gail Wilson Tel: 382735 for
advice regarding GP Referral Scheme
Grading
- 1-2km (0.6 - 1.2miles), very few or no gradients. Easy terrain. 15 mins
- 2-3km (1.2 - 1.9miles), possible gradients. Mainly easy terrain. 30 mins
- 3km (1.9miles), possible but few gradients. 45 mins
- 3km+ 3.0miles+), definite or likely gradients. Brisk walk. 60 mins

a moderate level of physical activity, such as walking, when
done for 30 minutes a day, on 5 out of 7 days each week.
